Body

Goals

• Skin comfort

Minimize dryness, irritation, itching, and discomfort.

• Body odor control

Improve body odor at the source instead of trying to cover it up with fragrance.

People often try to hide bad body odor instead of actually dealing with it. They use heavily fragranced shower gels, add fragranced deodorant, and then put heavy perfume on top of everything.

• Clean feeling

Feel fresh and comfortable throughout the day, without feeling grimy, sticky, or unwashed.

• Prevent infections and skin problems

Maintain good hygiene to reduce the risk of infections and other skin problems caused by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi.

Diet

Diet itself can drastically reduce the number of acne breakouts, making them easier to heal.

It can also improve your natural body odor. What you eat can affect the smell of your sweat, so a poor diet can contribute to unpleasant body odor.

Shower

Schedule

• Every other day
• After training
• After heavy sweating or getting dirty

I recommend to take shower at least every other day before you go to the bed.

I see little point in showering in the morning if you’re going to spend the entire day sweating, accumulating dirt, oil, and odor, then go to bed without washing.

Soap

Soap is often overused. Harsh cleansers can strip too much of your skin’s natural oils, leaving the skin dry, tight, and irritated.

What type of soap to choose?

Type: Syndet bar

Details
• pH: 4.5–6.5 suitable for skin
• Gentle enough for daily use
• Cleans without leaving the skin excessively dry or tight

Avoid
• Added fragrance
• Harsh sulfates
• Essential oils
• Dyes / colorants
• High concentrations of alcohol
• Excessively alkaline formulas
• Unnecessary antibacterial ingredients

Body Scrubber

• Optional
• Hands are sufficient for normal body cleansing
• Avoid aggressive scrubbing, which can irritate the skin
• Use one only if you prefer the feel or need gentle physical exfoliation

Water

Temperature

Doesn’t need to be cold. Don’t torture yourself.

Lukewarm water is perfectly fine.

Avoid very hot water, as it can dry out and irritate the skin and hair.

Shower filter

Can help improve skin and hair quality, especially if your water contains high levels of chlorine or other contaminants.

Details
• Calcium sulfite: Effective for reducing chlorine in hot water.
• KDF 55: Helps reduce chlorine and certain metals.
• Flow Rate: 8–10+ L/min. Filter shouldn’t restricts too much water.
• Cartridge life: 10 000 L+

5,000 L give around 2 months of use.
Cartridge life by date is bullshit since it’s depends on your water usage, amount of people in house etc.

Extra details
• Activated carbon: Helps reduce chlorine, odors, and some organic compounds.
• PP sediment filter: Removes physical particles such as rust and sand. Useful if your water contains visible sediment or debris.

Textiles & Laundry

Heavily contribute to body odor and breakouts because they are in constant direct contact with your skin

Towel

• Fabric: 100% cotton (long-staple cotton)
• Type: Terry cloth

Details

• Soft and absorbent
• GSM: 500–700
• No added fragrance or dyes if you have sensitive skin
• Large enough to dry your entire body comfortably

Maintenance

• Wash before first use
• Wash regularly and let it dry completely between uses
• Don’t share towels
• Replace when it becomes rough, worn out, or develops a persistent odor

How to use

Don’t rub yourself with the towel. Towels are designed to absorb water by gently tapping or patting your skin dry.

Unnecessary rubbing means unnecessary friction and irritation.

Bedsheets

It’s time to throw away those 100% polyester Spider-Man bedsheets your parents gave you in middle school. They make you smell like shit.

Bedsheets

• Plain and pattern-free
• White
• Fabric: 100% cotton sateen

Details

• Thread count: 200+
• Smooth and soft surface
• Fitted sheet matched to your mattress size and depth
• Durable and suitable for frequent washing

Maintenance

• White color can be bleached and whitened, making stains easier to remove.

• Change bedsheets at least once per week. It’s non-negotiable.

• If you go to bed dirty or sweaty, change your bedsheets earlier instead of waiting a full week.

Warning: Photo performed by a professional actor. Nobody has this much fun changing bedsheets.

Mattress

• Never buy a used mattress. You don’t know its history or what has been living inside it.

• Throw away a mattress if it has been contaminated with blood, bodily fluids, mold, or pests and cannot be properly cleaned.

• Use a mattress cover to prevent sweat, skin oils, spills, and other contaminants from soaking into the mattress.

Mattress Cover

• Plain and pattern-free
• Fabric: 100% cotton

Details
• Breathable
• Machine washable
• Fitted design that fully covers the mattress
• Waterproof layer: optional, preferably breathable
• Size matched exactly to your mattress dimensions and depth

Maintenance

• Protects the mattress from sweat, oil, skin flakes, and spills
• Wash regularly, especially if you sweat heavily
• Avoid plastic-like materials that trap heat and moisture
• If using a waterproof cover, choose one with a quiet, breathable membrane rather than a thick plastic layer

Clothing

Obviously, your clothing should be made from natural materials, including underwear. No, especially underwear.

Synthetic fabrics make you sweat more, smell worse, and aren’t made for everyday casual wear.

Feet

Feet

• Wash your feet every day before bed with a gentle cleanser or syndet bar
• Wash between your toes thoroughly
• Dry your feet completely, especially between the toes

Feet Towel

•Same rules as regular towel

•Use a separate towel for your feet to avoid transferring moisture and microorganisms from your feet to the rest of your body.

Socks

• Choose natural fabrics
• Choose appropriate thickness for the temperature: not too thin for cold weather and not too warm for hot weather

Maintenance

• Change socks every day
• Use separate socks for sports and physical activities
• Keep a dedicated pair for training and change them after heavy sweating
